This is WONDERFUL news! We have tried SO many different programs with our oldest over the last several years who was diagnosed withhaving ADHD. My father has practiced TM forever, and he loves it, but as kids we never really were that interested.
Thank you so much for bringing these VERY inspirational results to our attention. They offer a very simple (and most importantly, a drug free) option. Maybe our whole family should learn it. I know that grandad would be thrilled!
I have ADD and Zen meditation has been very helpful in calming and centering me in the moment. Like anything else though, it’s not a quick fix. It’s a discipline that ADD makes more challenging, too. It works because it help alleviate my main problems — staying focused and living in the moment.
I also take fish oil, magnesium, and vitamin B complex supplements as well. More than anything, I recommend people try to heal the whole person, rather than leaping at ritalin or other medical quick fix.
This isn’t to say that these drugs don’t work miracles for some, but AHDH has more to do with a way you are, so you must learn how to live as ADD. I want to be the best Aron I can be, but I’ll never be normal.
