His book the Predicament of Culture is brilliant: http://www.amazon.com/Predicament-Culture-Twentieth-Century-Ethnography-Literature/dp/0674698436 I especially enjoyed the sections on the College Of Sociology and ethnographic surrealism. He combines so many different genes and areas of scientific and cultural study into a startling new blend that breaks open some of the most hidden elements of our world. Absolutely enthralling.
